Spooky Halloween stories at Westenhanger Castle
6th October 2022
Things are about to get spooky at Westenhanger Castle, with two free performances of some new Halloween stories coming up later this month.
‘Whispers from the Other Side’ is a new collection of stories suitable for adults 16+, written by Emily Hanna-Grazebrook from Dragonfly Tales. Emily is a professional storyteller and has performed at museums, literary festivals, schools and community events for more than 10 years.
Tamasin Jarrett, Otterpool Park’s Community Services & Events Manager said, “Westenhanger Castle is quite simply the ideal setting for this event, with its centuries of history, rumours of ghosts and its ‘witches marks’ and ‘daisy wheels’ carved around some of the windows here as an ancient protection symbol against witches and evil spirits.
“We’re delighted to have Emily back at the castle. She has written some spooky Halloween stories that that are guaranteed to chill our spines this Halloween.”
Tickets are free but must be booked on Eventbrite by searching ‘Otterpool Park’ or by following the links below:
