More dates added for craft workshops

8th June 2021

More than 60 people attended our family-friendly workshops at Westenhanger Castle last week (1 and 3 June), as part of our community outreach work.

The Telling the Otterpool Tale events, run by local organisation Strange Cargo, encourage attendees to get hands on making a craft inspired by the heritage of the Otterpool Park site – a Tudor headdress, a racecourse winner’s medal or rosette.

Three further events at local village halls and Westenhanger Castle will take place, on the following dates:

  • 3 July, Sellindge Village Hall from 12pm – 4pm
  • 10 July Lympne Village Hall from 11am – 3pm
  • 17 July Westenhanger Castle from 11am – 3pm.

All the events have been planned to be Covid-safe, and as such some queuing may be required during busy periods. Attendees are asked to bring a face mask, unless they have a medical exemption or are under the age of 11.
